As we’re rounding out third quarter, we thought taking a look back at the second quarter highlights would be interesting. We’re particularly intrigued by the Chicagoland Industrial Market, as our firm has significant experience in this field. Not less than 15 years ago, large developers were building spec warehouses of hundreds of thousands of feet….even one million square foot warehouses all built on the hopes a tenant would be looking to come to the Chicago area.

Recently the Daily Herald’s Business Ledger published an pertaining to a hotel in Palatine being transformed into a senior living facility. The plan is to take the current 191 room hotel and renovate it to offer 168 senior resident units. It is this “out of the box” thinking that often transforms into ideal real estate transactions.
